This policy explains what Recrumio collects, why, and what control you have over it.

1. What stays in your browser
Your candidate list, CRM, settings, and pitch drafts are saved in your browser using Chrome's local storage. They aren't uploaded to our servers. Removing the extension deletes them.

2. What we collect

• Account information: your email address and password. Passwords are stored securely by our authentication provider, Supabase. We never see them in plain text.

• Billing information: if you upgrade, payments are handled by Stripe. We receive your plan status and a customer ID, never your card details.

• Usage: the number of contact lookups you use each month, so we can apply plan limits.

3. What we process to provide the service
When you use a feature, Recrumio sends the information it needs to our server:

• Scoring and drafting: job post text, and candidate details and resume text. These are processed to return scores and drafts, and aren't stored on our servers.

• Contact lookups: the company name, job title, and any names listed on the job post or LinkedIn profile you're viewing.

This processing uses Google's Gemini API, including Google Search, under Google's API terms.

4. Business contact information we store
To make lookups faster and cheaper, we save the results of contact lookups for up to 30 days and company email formats for up to 180 days. These results include names, job titles, work email addresses, and LinkedIn profile links of hiring contacts, found from public sources. They may be reused for other Recrumio users looking up the same company. If you are a contact found by Recrumio and want your information removed, email [your email] and we'll delete it.

5. Chrome extension permissions
Recrumio reads the page you're on only when you click "Read this page." It doesn't track your browsing or run in the background on other sites.

6. What we don't do
We don't sell your personal information, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers.

7. Chrome Web Store Limited Use
Recrumio's use of information received from the extension follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

8. Service providers

• Supabase (accounts and database)

• Vercel (hosting)

• Stripe (payments)

• Google (AI processing)

Each handles data only to provide its service to us.

9. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete your account information at any time by emailing [your email]. California residents have the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of its sale. We don't sell personal information.

10. Security
Data is sent over HTTPS. Access to our database is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

11. Children
Recrumio is a business tool and isn't meant for anyone under 18.

12. Changes
We'll post updates here and change the date above. If the changes are significant, we'll notify you by email.
